hushpuppies

My brother has a list of food favorites that he wants to try making..and when I say "he wants to try making" I mean he wants me to make it and he wants to try it. hehe. Hushpuppies have been on that list for years. 10+ years ago my family went to a BBQ place in Santa Barbara where we ate hushpuppies the first time. They were super delicious and it was the only time I've had hushpuppies..until this weekend. After searching the Food Network website, my brother selected this recipe from Paula Deen.

Here is the second batch that I made today. Look at that golden fried goodness. yum.

FYI - We fed a couple to Sammie and Bhoo and they really do hush puppies.
