I recently went through all my scrapbooking/crafting supplies and found a ton of stuff that I have had for years and still not have used. It reminded me of the times I would buy something because it was super-cute and a total must have, but never use it because it was too cute to use. For example, whenever I get a set of gel pens I tend to use the colors I like least first so that the colors I like the most don't run out as quickly. Unfortunately, by the time I would get to my favorite color, it would be dried out. What a waste. So I've decided to be green and use what I currently have on hand first before buying anything else.
Below is one of my first "green" projects. I came across this craft project at
CraftStylish and it made me giggle. I dug through my yarn bag and found a bunch of scrap yarn and put together this silly yarn octopus.

My sister was kind enough to provide the googly eyes and part of a foam letter "O" cut to make a smiley face. I giggle every time I look at it. :)
